Proyecto de exalumno Sebastián Alvarado gana premio

Nos complace informar que Sebastián Alvarado, querido exalumno de la Promoción 2014, quien pronto finalizará sus estudios de Computer Science en la University of Toronto, formó parte del equipo que desarrolló el proyecto “Frida”, con el que obtuvo el primer lugar en el 2018 Global Call for Code Challenge.

 

“Frida” es una solución que pretende, en base a sensores, ayudar a estudiantes y funcionarios de colegios a predecir la magnitud de terremotos, a identificar las mejores rutas de escape y a detectar gente atrapada.

We are pleased to report that Sebastián Alvarado, a beloved student from the Class of 2014 who will soon be completing his undergraduate studies in computer science at the University of Toronto, formed part of the team that developed the Frida Project, which won first prize in the 2018 Global Call for Code Challenge.

 

“Frida” is a sensor-based solution geared to helping students and school staffs to predict the magnitude of earthquakes, to identify the best escape routes and to detect people who are trapped.
